Fall Wine Tasting Outing??

Striders enjoying the Niagara Wine Tour

Striders enjoying the Niagara Wine Tour

Since we already started talking about our annual awards banquet and our winter picnic, I didn’t feel that it was too early to start thinking about another Wine Tasting Outing in the Fall.  Sue Hitchcock provided this great pic from last years event.  Frankly, I’d be happy to stay at Becker Farms for an afternoon!  Any thoughts?  Below is info on the Harvest Fest at the Niagara Wine Trail.

September 24 – 26: Harvest Fest - purchase ticket
Celebrate the season with fresh produce from the region and Autumn activities and entertainment at each winery. A list of each winery’s activity will be posted closer to the event dates – please check back for more info.

Marathon training run this weekend?

From William, who will be in the area this weekend:

“I am going to be in Lancaster this weekend and would like to get in a long run (15 – 20 miles) while I am there. Is there a marathon training group in the area that I could go out with.”

Please post a reply in the comments, and I’ll send on his email.

The Striders traded in their traditional red, for blue Empire State Games volunteer shirts at the water stop in Forest Lawn Cemetery for the 10K road race.  Volunteers are shown here touching the head stone of the legendary “Deerfoot” for good luck.  Also volunteering were Robin and Jack O., Doc, Tom L, and John B.  Tom L. had to leave early because he “works” on Sundays.
